Synonymous with the local hairstyling industry, Winnie’s interest began at an early age. Upon completing her secondary education in 1976, she pursued an intensive hairstyling course in London. Trained by the world’s best including hair maestro Vidal Sassoon, she returned and established A Cut Above in 1979. In 1997, she was the first Malaysian to receive the World Master of the Craft by the Art & Fashion Group of New York. In 2003, she attended the prestigious Blue Sky meeting in Germany – by leading Schwarzkopf ambassadors globally. She has been the Vice President of the Malaysian Hair Association since 2004 and is also the Vice-President of Asia Hairdesigners Association.
