Founder Dato' Seri Chew Weng Khak established Keat Radio & Electrical Co. in Balik Pulau, Penang.

1st Keat Radio & Electrical Co. branch was set up in line with its business expansion.

1976

Ventured into import, export and distribution of Electrical Home Appliances (EHA).

1977

Incorporation of Keat Radio Co. Sdn. Bhd. as a private limited company.

1982

Pensonic Sales & Service Sdn Bhd was established as it imported audio and visual products under the brand 'Pensonic'.

1984

Registration of Pensonic trademark in Malaysia and eventual registration in over 20 countries.

1991

Expanded operations by opening a new manufacturing plant at Autocity, Juru.

1994

Incorporation of Pensonic Holdings Berhad.

1995

Successful listing on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

Official Electrical Household Appliances sponsor with RM5 million Sponsorship for Kuala Lumpur 1998 – XVI Commonwealth Games.

  • Pensonic Table Fan PF-42 won the 2002 'Energy Efficiency & Best Price Fan' from Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Ministry of Energy, Communications and Multimedia.
  • Involvement in Own Brand Manufacturing (OBM) and Own Design Manufacturing (ODM). Under its multi-brand business model, it owns LEBENSSTIL KOLLEKTION and holds sole-distributorship in Malaysia for PRINCESS of Holland.

  • Launch of Coffee Table Book "Braving the Limitless : The Story of the Man Behind Pensonic, Chew Weng Khak" at Pensonic New Head Office Grand Opening Celebration Dinner.
  • Build and manufactured innovative mobile phone accessories. The smart power bank 'Fonebud Essential Plus' and 'Fonebud' brand was launched in August 2015.
